Today was my first day back after a very slack end to the year, and after having the entire month of December off. Never mind, that’s gone now. Can’t dwell, eh?
All I know is, I need to lose this fat, and, I need to get back into building muscle and strength ASAP before I go stark raving mad.
So, around 3PM I toddled off to our freezing cold old outside garage. I swear my hands were that freezing cold that when I went to grab the cold steel bar, it recoiled away from me.
Anyway. I didn’t fare too badly today, considering. Naturally, I’ve lost some strength, and, I felt a little uncoordinated. I also decided to deliberately start lower with some lifts to ease back into it. I also didn’t eat before training, and had no more than a minute of rest in between sets, to keep it intense.
I also did a little rotator cuff work, too. I’ve said before that my shoulders, from time to time, have a tendency to click and grind. It’s probably not good, and it’s definitely time I started to do something about it, so I’m trying out a few little light rotator cuff exercises to see if I can help that issue.
