I didn’t mention this in yesterdays blog post, because in all honesty, I didn’t think it necessary. As yesterday night wore on, that gradually changed. Which is unfortunate (and not just because I have to type up another blog post!)
I was out walking and running around with my dog yesterday, and when I came back in, I noticed I had a bit of a pain on the inside of my right ankle. I thought it was some kind of cramp, and it didn’t bother me much. As the night wore on, the pain gradually became worse and worse until I could barely put weight on it.
I think it’s slightly better today, it’s hard to say. I’m still hobbling around like a lame-footed pigeon, though.
There’s no visible swelling, and I don’t know how or where I did it, or what I’ve done to it. Maybe pulled a tendon or ligament, I have no idea. There seems to be a fair bit of clicking and grinding going on in it.
I’m going to give it a few days to see if it clears up a bit. If not, I’ll be going to hospital.
Normally at this point I would complain and ask ‘Why God, why is it always me?’ but I know my friend may read this… and given he’s just spent 3 days in hospital with a collapsed lung he might think I was being a bit of a self-pitying baby. (He was only out having a few pints n’all, poor bastard…)
At least he’s out of hospital and no longer talks like Stevie out of Malcolm in the Middle.
