Fasting To Clean Out Your Digestive System For Better Muscle Gains

Did you know your muscle gains are being seriously slowed by something going on inside your digestive system that you probably never knew anything about, until now?

Quite possibly one of the least-known secrets in bodybuilding is that after prolonged periods of heavy eating, a mucus build up occurs inside of the intestinal tract, which prevents food nutrients from being digested and absorbed properly.

In other words: you could quite literally be wasting a huge amount of time, effort, money and food and not getting anywhere near the kind of gains you could be!

Don’t despair, this is great news for you. It means by following the advice Vince Gironda has on this subject, you could put things right within just 5 days and watch you gains skyrocket!

Vince Gironda recommends cleaning out your system once every so often (you could try this once every 2 months, for instance), by changing your diet for 5 days.

Vince recommends you do the following:

Day 1: Consume nothing but water, fruit or vegetable juices. You should also take 1 tbsp of psyllium seed product mixed in a glass of water, with an additional glass of water taken immediately after. This should be done 3 times a day. Also, 1 tbsp of liquid amino acids should be taken 3 times daily.

Day 2: Repeat day 1

Day 3: Repeat day 1, with the addition of bouillon or clear broth.

Day 4: Repeat day 3 but now include thicker soups, jelly/jell-o, custard, or yogurt.

Day 5: Repeat day 4 with the addition of eggs and other light solid foods.

Over the next couple of days, ease yourself back into your previous diet by adding heavier and heavier foods.

Vince also suggests that, if you have supplemented heavy, and been on a high protein diet for a prolonged period, you could switch to a vegetarian diet for a full week, giving your digestive system time to recover optimum function fully.
