Day Off To Regroup
After another lousy nights sleep (I didn’t manage to fall asleep until gone 5:00am), which resulted in me getting up late feeling muggy and lethargic, and seriously behind in my diet, I’ve decided to have the day off.
My last session wasn’t particularly good, owing to much the same circumstances – a lack of sleep and lack of calories – and I’m also still aching quite a bit, so it can’t do me any harm.
I must admit, although at times I find myself wishing I didn’t have to train on certain days, I really don’t like taking days of.
On the up side, I’ll be using the time productively to do some good stretching, particularly my lower back, quads, hamstrings and groin. Not to mention getting to bed earlier and sorting my sleeping out.
There, pressure off. I now feel liberated, unrushed, and actually look forward to Monday already!
